Mojo Monday 195 and New Stampin’ Up! Stuff!

Stampin up mojo monday best of everything catalog
Thanks for joining me for another Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO195)!  This week's sketch allowed me to play with pattern and a fresh and pretty color combo from Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper, available July 1 in the Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog!

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • NEW PRODUCTS!  The little bird and sentiment are from the Best of Everything rubber stamp set (received it early as a special gift on the Stampin' Up! Alaska cruise).  The triangle in the top right was created in a flash using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  Both Stampin' Up! items will be available July 1 in the new catalog.
  • I snipped out the Baja Breeze bird and popped it up with a Stampin' Dimensional.
  • Jewels Basic Pearls . . . I love 'em!

FUN IDEA!!  I love having a bulletin board over my work space and nothing gives it jazz faster than a little reupholstering with a fun fabric.

SDC17038-1
I got the Richloom Oslo Bluebird fabric through an on-line fabric store.  A yard was plenty.

SDC17036-1
A yard covered my 3 x 2 bulletin board (purchased at Office Depot).

  1. Michelle: We just went to Eeegee’s yesterday. I love their fresh lemon slushies on a hot day!

Bobbi: The cabinets are PCS (an RSI Company)and I purchased them through a cabinet store. They are a maple wood laminate (real wood skin, so to speak), not solid wood . . . which saved me money. They were about 30% less expensive than solid wood. I’ll provide more details when I do a comprehensive post about the renovation. Hugs, m

  2. Loving the little bird stamp and can’t wait to get the set!! Your board will be a terrific focal point in your lovely new space. Our son is working in Tucson this month and staying in our condo. I get frequent humidity updates…not the temp or the weather, but the humidity! (Also get updates on his trips to Eegees!) Tucson is so much drier than VA. Enjoy some early morning mountain/valley air for me, Mary…

  3. Mary, I saw your new space on Facebook and love every inch of it. Where did you buy your cabinets? I also think that fabric is so cool; I never thought to make a focal point with colors to brighten up my space, but I will now! This card is just adorable too. I am happy to see all the new things in the catalog as well as some of my old favorites. Thanks for your continued inspiration! You rock! (your Lizard is cute too!) šŸ™‚

  4. Hi Joette:

It was surprisingly easy. I lined everything up and used push pins to hold it in place and taut. I then stapled the fabric to the back . . . yes a standard stapler worked great! I used a staple gun for the corners where the fabric was thicker . . . but realized quickly that 1/2″ staples were too long and came back through the front in the “not so thick” areas. Hugs, M
