Mojo 242 & Stampin’ Up! Dreams 4 You

Stampin up demonstrator punch catalog graduation card ideas sneak peek blog
Today’s card contains more sneak peeks from the Stampin’ Up! 2012-2013 Catalog.  These new products seem right at home on this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO242).  For a list of what’s new, please see the supplies list at the end of this post and look for the asterisk (*).Mojo242SketchSTAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Simple.  World Treasures stamp set (available June 1) offers this sweet trio of flowers.  They’re perfect for adding an embellishment.  I used Pearl Basic Jewels for a quick touch of glam.

  • I’m in love!  I used Midnight Muse in the new Stampin’ Up! firm foam ink pad style.  The result was crisp, rich coverage with minimal effort.  All ink pads (all Stampin’ Up! colors) will be converted to the new foam style starting June 1.
  • Sometimes the little things really make me happy dance.  Naki Rager, a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals, recently suggested to cut a small slit on the packaging for our Baker’s Twine (or Linen Thread) to keep the loose end in place.  Within minutes of the tip, I had “transformed” all my twine packaging to this neat and tidy system.

  1. Your white pearls and ribbon really POP against the Crumb Cake background. This color combo makes me think of the weathered wood (and fishermen) seen in harbors on the coast. I can almost smell the salt air. Great job Mary!

  2. I didnt know where to post this comment and this was the first place I could find….. I am squealing, literally let out a little squeal of delight when I arrived home from work to find my brand new SU catty !
It never fails that while I am savoring every page the lyrics “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” run through my head. I am like a kid in a candy store and I want to taste every single piece 🙂
What a fabulous night ahead of me, my new catty,a fresh yellow legal pad,a bright lime green pack of sticky notes, pizza and a diet coke.My yearly ritual begins :)A wish list in the making. It is such a beautiful catty this year and I am sooooo glad I placed that order with you to get this early.

  6. Hello Mary: Beautiful card, as always. The new colors are great! The tip for the Bakers Twine is genious, thank you Naki for thinking of it. I too, transformed all of it to this fab system. It’s funny how something so simple sometimes you don’t think about it until somebody else does. I used to put a piece of tape on the twine but this looks neater.
    Maria.

  7. LOVE the new product – can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it! And please tell Naki that her tip for keeping linen thread and bakers twine tidy …… is BRILLIANT. I keep my bakers twine on spools but my linen thread is always “a mess”. MANY THANKS for the tip!
