Candy Wrapper WOW! Video with a Twist

May I please share one last Halloween idea using the Stampin’ Up! Candy Wrapper die?  This “BOO” box trio and card are headed to my adorable nephew as a spooky surprise.  Each contains a couple bite sized candy bars.

LET’S TWIST!  The question I have been asked the most about the Stampin’ Up! Candy Wrapper Die is regarding assembly.  Is it complicated?  I have made several dozen of these boxes and can assure you that once you figure it out, they go quickly.  The trick is in the “twist” and today’s Stampin’ Pretty 1 Minute to WOW! Video shows you how!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • The Typeset Alphabet Dies cut through card stock and Stampin’ Up! Onboard Long Board (chipboard).  Perfect layers and a 3-D effect.

  • I cut the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (wrapped around each box) to 6 1/4″ x 1 3/4″.  Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the short distance at 1 3/8″, 2 3/4″, 4 1/8″ AND 5 5/8″ for a neat fit and a “seam” buried on an edge.  The reason why the last score goes an 1/8″ longer than the others is so that it can “stretch” to the edge.

  • The coordinating envelope for my 3 x 3 card was created using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.  Here’s my handy envelope chart with dimensions and details for many envelope sizes.

  1. I bought my ?Candy Wrapper? die several years ago, since I couldn?t figure out how to make the boxes I just put the die away and never used it. I came across your 1 Minute to Wow video and decided to find the die and try it again. Guess what, I?ve made more than half a dozen boxes and now I love this die. I?m glad I held on to this die. Thank you for generously sharing your videos.
