Here's a simple wedding card which uses yesterday's Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA159) and the new Label Love stamp set.  I used oodles of new Stampin' Up! products (available 5/31).  Can you find them?  Give the PPA sketch a try and  PLAY ALONG!

Pretty Card Ideas from Friends

A Sneak Peek of Stampin' Up! Soho Subway

Stampin' Up! Thank Heaven for Little Girls

I hear Maurice Chevalier singing "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" everytime I see this sentiment from the Cuddles & Kisses stamp set!  My dear friend and neighbor became a grandmother for the first time so I whipped up this card to celebrate a new baby girl on the planet!

3 Catalog Sneak Peeks: Stampin' Up! Kind & Cozy

Pals Guest Stamper: Jane K.

It feels like a vintage children's book to me.  Precious.  Jane Knudsen, is today's guest stamper and a member of my Stampin' Pretty Pals.  She doesn't have a blog but has offered a detailed explanation below on how she created this masterpiece!   I'm so proud of her project . . . right down the the fabulous photography!

FROM JANE K.: 

My card is meant to mimic a well worn leather bound journal.  Using Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake, I made the journal, distressing and adding faux stitching.  After creating my background paper using Summer Starfruit and the Hello, Doily stamp (in Always Artichoke, Real Red and Crumb Cake), I cut out the window framelit and the blossom party flowers. 

I wrapped the card in Early Espresso baker's twine so that I could weave the Pear Pizzazz oval in and out.  I added a pop of a Real Red window framelit to layer on the Summer Starfruit and give the eye something to draw to and then added the Canvas Creations piece that I stamped using the Little Friends.  I offset each window framelit to add a bit of interest.  The layers all got a dose of Early Espresso on the edges.  Finally, to add some balance, I added the blossom party flowers and the sentiment from Loving Thoughts, cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits Die.

HOT TIP for the Stampin' Up! Canvas Creations product – I used black stazon and stamped on the back side of the canvas.  This gave a clearer image than when I stamped on the front.  I used the blender pen to color the little friends out of the watercolor crayons and ink pads.

New Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA158)

Ready for a fun and fabulous joy-fold card?  A joyfold card is simply two intersecting cards. 

My base card began with an 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock which was scored with my Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 5 1/2".  The smaller card was cut to 8" x 3" and scored at 4".  I love our Stampin' Trimmer (126889) for projects like this, don't you?  Fit them together and voila!

My color inspiration was from the palette above, provided by the Pals Paper Arts Resident Artists.  Check out what the rest of the PPA team has dreamed up with these colors and play along HERE!

Stampin' Up! Tea for Two with Mojo

For today's 4 1/2" square card, I combined coordinating patterns from Tea for Two Designer Series Paper with the sentiment from Tea Shoppe stamp set.  The result was clean and simple with a dash of tea time daintiness!  The Tea Shoppe stamp set is retiring as of June 3.  Learn more about which Stampin' Up! stamp sets are headed for retirement.

I opted for the square version of this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO291).  Give it a go!
