This minimalist card doesn't require a lot of explanation or tips. Stampin' Up! Square Punches make layering quick and easy and a touch of bling on the bow gets you close to the finish line. The present stamp is from Jolly Bingo Bits and the sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (exclusively available as part of the Stampin' Up! Hostess Rewards Program).

Delicious! I love the bold graphic look of this watermelon stamp from Mouthwatering (Occasions Mini Catalog). Todays 1 Minute to WOW! video tutorial shares tips for getting the perfect slice.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
Yummy discovery! The watermelon image fits like a glove in the 2 1/2" Circle Punch. Just crop with the punch and then slice off half. No snipping required!
The secret to those "seeds?" Early Espresso Card Stock and the Stampin' Up! Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.
The "sweet" sentiment is from Fabulous Phrases rubber stamp set. It's my "little black dress" of sentiment essentials.
SAVE IT! Speaking of essentials . . . if you need a "go to" sketch for a card, this one is simple, versatile and quick.
A COOL TIP regarding Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers was shared with me by fellow demonstrator, Patti MacDermott: The brush end has a thicker ring around the marker and the fine point end has a thinner ring. You can figure out which end is which even if the brush images aren't showing.
STAMPIN' UP! NEWS: Were you wondering why the summery images of Mouthwatering rubber stamp set showed up in the Occasions Mini Catalog rather than the Summer Mini? I sure was. Here's the scoop! Stampin' Up! announced at the Demonstrator Leadership Conference last month that starting this year, they have eliminated the Summer Mini Catalog. The future Holiday and Spring Minis will be bigger and last longer (5 months vs. 4, much easier on my brain). The annual catalog (new In Colors, stamps, designer series paper--woo hoo) will start a month earlier (June 1, 2012) and the Holiday Mini will start a month earlier as well (August 1, 2012--better timing for Halloween and fall projects). I'm really excited about this simplified schedule! I'll provide more information as I get it!
IMPORTANT NOTE: THE CURRENT IDEA BOOK AND CATALOG WILL EXPIRE ON MAY 31, 2012 NOT JUNE 30, 2012. Details regarding the retiring stamp and accessories timing will be released at a future date.

I was in a bit of a panic last Friday when I realized I hadn't made a card for my husband's birthday on Saturday. After taking a deep breath, I grabbed Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge for today to whip up a very simple masculine card. Click and scroll for more of my Stampin' Up! Masculine Card Ideas.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
I adore those little gifties in the birthday stamp image (Hostess Rewards Happiest Birthday Wishes). I inked the entire stamp with a Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pad.
Next, I used a Stampin' Up! Blender Pen to remove the Chocolate Chip Ink from the rubber of the left and right gifts. They were re-colored with Pool Party and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Markers. Watch my 1 Minute to WOW Video Tutorial to see this Blender Pen "Eraser" Trick.
A masculine card relies on clean geometry and texture. Yummy Chocolate Chip Textured Card Stock is a handsome touch.
Pool Party card stock gets a linear look with the help of the Stampin' Up! Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. GET THE FOLDER FREE during Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration.

Black and white together ooze sophistication. Don't you agree? Today's card was whipped up in less than 10 minutes using some of my Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog Favorites: Mixed Bunch and Loving Thoughts rubber stamp sets and the new Blossom Punch (coordinates with Mixed Bunch)! Need a FREE print copy of the Occasions Mini Catalog? Please email me your name and U.S. address.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
I created my own designer paper using the round stamp (also the flower center) from the Mixed Bunch stamp set. This set gets excellent stamping mileage.
Stampin' Dimensionals pop up my punched elements for a quick and easy 3-D effect.
A dash of sparkle can be credited to Stampin' Up! Jewels Basic Rhinestones.
"Wonderful You," from Loving Thoughts, multi-tasks for birthday, congrats, love, thank you and more. I love the font of this stamp set and versatility of the sentiments. See the entire collection below.

The Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch provides a "bow-licious" detail.
Long and lean, this 6 5/8" x 3 1/4" card fits the Stampin' Up! Whisper White Small Open-End Envelope like a glove.
The sentiment and cupid (posed to send an arrow of love to the addressee) are from P.S. I Love You, new in the Occasions Mini Catalog. This is my "go to" valentine set and selected for my Top 10 Favorites from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
Credit for the sentiment goes to the Elementary Elegance* stamp set. The font is beautiful for a simple card with a vintage spin. It's cropped with the Stampin' Up! Extra Large Oval Punch.
This card could easily translate to wedding, thank you and more with a simple change of sentiment.
I love the sophisticated look of the Stampin' Up! Large Pearl Basic Jewels, new in the Occasions Mini Catalog.
The Stripes* and Designer Frames* (oval) Textured Impressions Embossing Folders were used to add yummy texture. I first used the oval folder to create the dotted design and then cropped it with the smaller of the Labels Framelits Dies used. I was so excited to discover how well they complement each other!
Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper* adds a chic background and is a delight to mix and match.

My dear customer and stamping friend, Maria, surprised me with flowers this week.
I love how the petals are tipped in green. Many of the yellow lilies have bloomed since this photo was taken. Beautiful!
FABULOUS TIP! Several of my Stampin' Pretty blog readers contacted me regarding yesterday's Framelits video tutorial. They shared that using a sticky note to hold the Framelits die in place on it's journey through the Big Shot works as a temporary adhesive. Genius! Thanks for the heads up, guys!
They cut with precision, layer beautifully and are the hot ticket in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. The new Framelits Dies (available in Hearts and Labels collections) are easy to use with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. I'm willing to bet there will be many more shapes on the horizon!I used the Framelits Labels Collection Dies and the coordinating Apothecary Art stamp set (also new in the Occasions Mini Catalog).
Today's Stampin' Pretty Video Tutorial shares the simple pathway to perfect Framelits results.
JOYFOLD CARD: A joyfold card is simply two intersecting cards. My base card began with an 8 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of Island Indigo card stock which was scored with my Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 5 1/2". The smaller card was originally cut to 8" x 3 1/4" and scored at 4"

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
Crumb Cake card stock was cut to 4 1/4" x 9 1/4" and scored at 5 1/2". I used a 3/16" Corner Punch to curve the corners of the cropped section.
I love making patterns with punched shapes. I cropped Chocolate Chip card stock with the Stampin' Up! Small Oval Punch. It would be just as interesting to use circles, flowers or hearts.

Open sesame! Heather's joyfold card opens vertically.
Her details (layered sentiment, silver brad on the wheel, Baker's Twine) make the card artful and distinctive!

Stampin' Up! Antique Brads make a beautiful statement on the butterfly. An alternative would be a button with a little Baker's Twine.

Let's kick off Thursday with a Stampin' Pretty 1 Minute to WOW! Video Tutorial! Today's video shares a quick and easy color blocking technique used for my bitty box sentiment.
Check out the latest Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA 126) and PPA Design Team's beautiful card ideas. BIG NEWS! Don't miss today's announcement of three exciting new designers on the PPA Design Team for 2012!
The key to my color blocking technique? Don't toss the removable centers of your stamps. They make versatile stamps, too! The "stamp" used to color block the sentiment on the box is the "throw away" center of the Elementary Elegance frame stamp (available Jan. 24 as part of the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Promotion).
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
Everything (cards and envies) fits neatly in the bitty box. The belly band on the box slips on and off for easy access to the cards and envelopes.
Both the box and envelopes were created with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the Bitty Box & Envelopes Bigz XL Die. Use the Extended Premium Crease Pad to get clean scores.
Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (Occasions Mini Catalog) was used to create the envelopes and is NOW available for purchase! Twitterpated colors include: Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray, Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Whisper White. Click and print my updated Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper color chart.
The mini cards are 2" x 2".

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
Does anyone smell cherries? Cherry Scented Stampin' Emboss Powder* (new in the Occasions Mini Catalog) adds a sensory twist to papercrafting. I'm confident it will dazzle your nose as well as the recipient's.
I dotted each tiny cherry on the cupcakes (Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper*) and the larger cherry on the ice cream cone (Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering* stamp set) using a VersaMarker. The VersaMarker is ideal for small, embossed details.
Cherry Scented Stampin' Emboss Powder* (it's clear so you can layer it over any color) was sprinkled over the VersaMarker ink and heat embossed for a shiny, scented finish.
The sentiment is part of the Sweet Cake* stamp set and the cupcake brad belongs to the Sweet Shop Jelly Bean Brads* collection. Everything blends with perfection! Both will be available Jan. 4.

On the cusp of the 2012, I thought it would be a good time to resolve to become a little "greener" as part of my paper crafting passion. I will be making just as many cards--most of my cards have a destination in mind. However, what about our handmade beauties making a trip to more than one recipient?
Yes, yes . . . I have seen the episode of Seinfeld about the consequences of "regifting." However, passing along the suggestion to resend our creations ("regifting") may be a smart way to add longevity to the "heart and soul" you transformed into paper (and one less purchase the recipient has to make the next time they need a card)!
Today's video (evolved from a "1 Minute to WOW" into about 4 minutes :) shows you a Stampin' Up! personalized stamp (Family Tree) that I customized for exactly the purpose of making the regifting suggestion. It goes on the back of a removable insert. The front of the removable insert is for your personal message or an interior stamp. NOTE: Stampin' Up! personalized stamps cannot be ordered on-line. If you are interested, please email me your order information here. The personalized stamp details are on page 172 of the Idea Book & Catalog.
Watch my demonstrator video and let me know what you think about the concept of "regifting and recycling" cards with a comment below! Today's card (for my daughter's 18th birthday) showcases Stampin' Up! Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, available Jan. 4 with the start of the Occasions Mini Catalog! Clean, simple, pretty!
LAST DAY! Enjoy my "Welcome Baby" Video Class FREE with an on-line product order of $50 (before shipping and tax) or more. Offer ends at 11:50 PM MST tonight (12/31).
IMPORTANT STAMPIN' UP! PRODUCT NEWS: Stampin' Up! will be discontinuing the Stocking Builder Punch (#124095). It is ONLY available while supplies last. Also, Early Espresso 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon (124104) is out of stock and no longer available for purchase. Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon (124105) is still available. Please note that the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog ends Jan. 3.
STAMPIN' UP! ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY MINI CARRYOVER LIST.These products will be available for purchase after the Holiday Mini Catalog ends (last day is Jan. 3).
As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I receive a monthly magazine that's full of creative ideas. In this month's issue, I saw the typewriter from the "You're My Type" stamp set (available in the Occasions Mini Catalog Jan. 4) with a simple flower resting on it. I adored the idea and had to spin my own little version! Here's a previous sample using the same typewriter stamp.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
The Black Oval Scallop Frame helped define the "white space" of the card without giving up the simplicity.
Large solid stamps like the typewriter, can sometimes leave an open ink area when stamped. I enlisted a Blender Pen and a little Basic Black ink to fill in any gaps. Layer ink gradually. Watch my Blender Pen Ink Fix Video Tutorial to learn more.
The tiny leaf began with a circle cropped with the circle punch from the Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I "fished" the circle back in the same punch adhered to a scrap of paper and cropped it into the leaf shape.
COMING UP:

These sweet teacups are part of the Stampin' Up! Tea Shoppe rubber stamp set, available Jan. 4 in the Occasions Mini Catalog. With a splashy color mix, I think they look neat and modern on this 4 1/4" square card. What do you think about each teacup's unique "personality." Please leave me a comment with your thoughts below :)

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
The three Tea Shoppe teacups are combined on one stamp. I haven't performed any "surgery" to separate them (but you certainly can, if it makes them more versatile for you). The 1 1/4" Square Punch crops in just the right spot among the three images to isolate each cup.
Check out the bold pearl on the bottom left cup. It's part of the Large Pearl Basic Jewels collection available in the Occasions Mini Catalog Jan. 4. So easy to pop in place.
Create the perfect size envelope (4 1/2" square) using Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper (new Jan. 4) cut to 5 1/2" x 10". Score with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool the long distance at 1/2" and 5" and the short distance at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4".

You'll be "charmed!" The Stampin' Up! Trinket Hearts charms (available Jan. 4 in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog) are a sweet touch--perfect for Valentine's day and more!
Check out this tutorial, to learn how to create a Scalloped Circle Card using the Scallop Circle Bigz Die.
For the envelope, I cut the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration, available Jan. 24) to 5 1/2" x 10". It was scored the long distance at 1/2" and 5". It was scored the short distance at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4".
For a pretty finish, I cropped the envelope flap using one of the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies (available in the Occasions Mini Catalog, Jan. 4). I cropped Very Vanilla card stock with the same die and layered it beneath.

This 5 x 5 card was created for my grandniece for a recent birthday. I'm sure she will love the sunny colors, fun flower and, of course, the Stampin' Up! treat cup candies.
The sentiment is my "tag" for this week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA125). Be sure to check out what the rest of the PPA Design Team has ready to inspire you with HERE and PLAY ALONG. Participants can use any brand of products they choose for the challenge!
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
To create the ring around the treat cup, I first cropped the Calypso Coral card stock with a 1 3/4" Circle Punch. I then flipped my 2 1/2" Circle Punch upside down, centered and cropped the 1 3/4" "hole" left by the first punch. Bam! A ring! Here's a previous video I prepared on making rings that may help you get a better visual idea!
I attached my treat cup to a piece of card stock (buried) without adhering entirely. I slipped the candies into the partially adhered cup and finished adhering. Much easier this way.
