I challenged myself to create a valentine without any pink or red.  My card design for the Pals blog hop is a mix of Very Vanilla, Night of Navy and the stunning floral die cut that comes with the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Embellishments Kit.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • The “love life” sentiment (I’m sure diggin’ that font) is from A Happy Thing stamp set, one of the free gifts offered as part of the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration (PDF) promotion.

  • More than a valentine.  This card could easily work for wedding, anniversary, friendship and more.
  • A single rhinestone accents the heart (Sweetheart Punch).

  • The Night of Navy 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon lends such a rich touch.
  • To dress up the Medium Very Vanilla Envelope, I cropped a perfectly sized envelope liner (Envelope Liner Framelits Dies) in Silver Foil

  1. That is definitely a “WOW” card. I love the combo of vanilla and night of navy, and the die cut makes it just stunning. I wish Stampin’ Up would come out with a thinlit for those flowers. I would purchase it in a heartbeat. I want more than the few you get in the Artisan Embellish Kit. Thanks for sharing your great ideas.

  2. This card has the WOW factor. The Night of Navy is so striking against the Very Vanilla and then to add the stencil which has a glimmer to it – again WOW. Your designs are always an inspiration.
