Oh, Turkey Feathers! It’s A Peek at the Holiday Catalog!

Today kicks off the week with another Mojo Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO356).  I’m also sharing sneak peeks of new products from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  The holiday catalog begins Aug. 28 and I’ll be sharing many peeks through August!

Mojo356SketchSTAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Oh, turkey feathers!  I used my Stampin’ Up! Bitty Banners Framelits Dies add an iconic touch of “turkey.”

  • SNEAK PEEK!  The sentiment is from Mingle All the Way, a holiday stamp set that offers a bold greeting for fall and winter holidays.
  • SNEAK PEEK!  My colors (Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla) were inspired by a modern pattern from Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper.

  • I also used Color Me Autumn to make a custom sized envelope using the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board.  Here’s an excellent video from Stampin’ Up! demonstrating the Envelope Punch Board.

  • My “tall & skinny” Mojo Monday card base measures 6″ x 3 1/2″.  TIP:  When measuring the card for the Envelope Punch Board, I used 6″ x 4″ to allow room for the width of the “feathers!”

  2. What a cute card!!! Love the colors, the dsp, the greeting and shape, but best of all are those “feathers”. It really does feel like the turkey is hiding. Fabulous interpretation of the sketch!!!

  4. Oh my goodness Mary…this card is adorable! I LOVE fall colors, and I am so IN LOVE with the new catalog, although I only was able to see it online. I am patiently waiting for my copy. I used almost all my colored ink in my printer, because I just had to have one to drool over before the real one came. Thank you for all your gorgeous creations…you are such an inspiration to me. I wish I was your downline. 🙂

  5. Intriguing analogy to Indian corn, Chris R. I guess it is a hip and modern version. The Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper is just stunning in real life!

  6. Very cute! I love this paper – looks like Indian Corn. We have a little cooker weather this week so the card does remind me that fall is coming eventually and then we have all those great colors. On line the paper didn’t seem very festive. Can’t wait to get the catalog too so I can drool too like Bobbi said. I don’t have a color printer though!

  9. What an adorable card, I love the colors you chose. Maybe it’s the elementary school teacher in me, but I see a turkey and he seems a bit shy.
