Thank you for all your well wishes for my little grand niece, Lily Grace. I have passed them along to her family, too.
Lily Grace had heart surgery several weeks ago and, in true toddler fashion, is doing amazingly well. Here's my original post. From her grandma (my sister, Laurie): She goes back in a month for a follow up and needs antibiotics for the next six months only for any invasive procedures. Otherwise, there's follow up every six months and then yearly to be sure the hole is still closed as she grows. The occluder scars over in a few weeks to complete the seal. The hole was slightly bigger than the doctor thought so it was fate that they choose to get it over with.
