Simple Saturday and Sponging Video

Stampin up silhouette sentiments video tutorial and mini square envelope
This may be the fastest sponged background ever!  This simple 3 x 3 notecard goes together in minutes.  I actually got today's 1 Minute to  WOW! Video Tutorial down to less than two minutes.  Before you start watching, don't forget about my current Blog Candy Giveaway!

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up silhouette sentiments video tutorial The sweet little bird and branch (Silhouette Sentiments) were colored using Stampin' Up! Stampin'  Write Markers.  Click here for my quick video lesson on using markers directly to the stamp rubber.
  • Note:  The 2 1/2" Circle Punch (Holiday Mini Catalog) is currently unavailable due to quality issues (however, mine works beautifully).  Stampin' Up! is working on a solution so keep it on your wish list if you don't own it already.
  • To cut the Wild Wasabi Circle to a 2 3/4" mat, I used my Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat.  Here's my Circle Scissor Plus video tutorial.

  1. Hi Viv: Thanks for your email . . . yes, you certainly could . . . but you would want to go a little wider with the sponging to be sure you have everything covered. I can use the template for other things . . . creating circle backgrounds, for example. Hugs, M

  2. Could you just sponge on a piece of cardstock first without the circle layer and then punch it out? I would think if you just made your sponged area big enough this would work and you wouldn’t have to waste an extra piece of paper to make a mask, or is there more to this technique that I am missing?.

The Big Shot is coming out waaaaay ahead as the favorite stamper’s tool on my blog candy giveaway. You won’t regret your decision. Hugs, M

  4. Hi Chris: I always look forward to your comments. Thanks! The 2.5 Circle Punch currently is unavailable (not even available on back order). However, it should pop up again when they get the quality issue worked out. Most punches are continued beyond the mini catalogs. However, I currently don’t have the definitive word that this will happen.

Twitter is optional, of course. If you are a “junkie” for stamping ideas, it’s fun to receive quick tips to keep the juices flowing. The beauty of Twitter is that it’s easy to use and every message is required to be short. Perfect for busy stampers. I’ll still post to Stampin’ Pretty as I always have.

    Hugs, M

  5. Hello Mary: As always, I love each and every one of your video tutorials. I learn so much from them so, keep them comming.
    Maria.
PS. I can’t wait till my Big Shot gets here. I feel like a kid, waiting with so much antisipation.

  6. Loved your little card. Thanks for the tip about the punch – I have been trying to decide if I needed it-are they on back order then? Or, do we try and order them shortly before the mini-catalog expires? Darn, another hostess gift I should have picked when I had my party. Oh well. Plus, we have to start Twittering to get more hints and tips? I swore I wouldn’t ever get into that but your videos and such are so worth it. Ummmm have to rethink this decision.
