Pals Paper Arts 16: Christmas Cheer

Stampin up just beclause christmas card

Generic Ho Ho Ho!  Need a nudge to get your holiday cards in gear?  The Pals Paper Arts Design Team centers today's Thursday challenge on Christmas Cheer (PPA16).   Plus there is BLOG CANDY!!!

I chose the stamp set "Just Beclause" (be sure you don't miss the pun) from the Holiday Mini Catalog for my interpretation of the challenge.  It has a fun, retro feel but worked perfectly with the traditional style of the Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper (Holiday Mini Catalog) I used (4 different patterns for these projects–woo hoo!).

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
  • Stampin up styled silver hodgepodge hardware Did you notice that the Simple Snowflake stamp (p. 208 of the Catalog) coordinates impeccably with the Jumbo Snowflake Punch?

  • FYI:  The Jumbo Snowflake Punch takes some elbow grease to squeeze.  The trade off is extraordinary detail!

  • The sentiment was cropped with a Designer Label Punch.  This fits neatly inside the Styled Silver Label Holder from Stampin' Up! Hodgepodge Hardware.

  • For an added pop, I replaced the center ornament with a red Circle Rhinestone Brad.

  • This 3" x 3" card will tuck neatly into Stampin' Up!'s  3 1/8" x 3 1/8" Whisper White Mini Square Envelopes (107309).

  1. Love the snowflake card. I’m done making cards. This is the first year I made 3 designs to send out. I have been making all handmade cards for about 5 years now but in years past I only made one design. Since I love making Christmas cards soooo much–I decided to mix it up this year. Now I’m making glittered ornaments for friends and family. I love those! I’m a demonstrator so I have all the colors of reinkers. :-))

  2. Love the cards Mary. I was just looking at the stamp set Just Beclause. Great color combinations on the second card. Snowflake adds the finishing touch.

  4. Hi, Mary

The snowflakes on your banner’s flower are a really nice touch! 😀

Love both of those cards – they are really elegant! This is one set that I think is really cute and know I don’t need… haha!

    TFS!

  5. I’m loving the vintage feel that these images lend to the cards. I never noticed the snowflake image and punch coordination, very cool!

  6. Ho-ho-how fun!!

I love how you kept the images simple in black ink. What a fun set.

As for my Christmas stamping, I have multiple different cards created. Would like to send out handmade cards this year!
