NEW! I'm so excited about Stampin' Up!'s new Holiday Mini stamp set: Scandinavian Season (available Oct. 1). It's a delicious twist on traditional holiday stamps--wonderful details and fresh design. Marry them up with the Mini's Frosty Day Designer Paper (Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa), and you get a classy, unique look with minimal work (the details and color do it for you).
The line images in this set ink up and leave a crisp impression. I stamped the tree in Tangerine Tango and stamped it again in Chocolate Chip. I snipped out the Chocolate Chip flower, elevated it with Stampin' Dimensionals and set it in place with a lovely green Rhinestone Circle Brad. The image is matted on Kiwi Kiss and Close to Cocoa card stock.
TIP:
I used Chocolate Chip for both the tree's "flower" and the sentiment rather than matching the Close to Cocoa in the Designer Paper. This gives extra oomph.
The background panel is Frosty Day Designer Series Paper layered on Tangerine Tango. Can you say "must-have?" The Cute & Curly sentiment was stamped in Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip. The Curly Label Punch pops out a perfectly coordinated label. TIP: The border of the oval (snipped out quite easily) does not line up with Stampin' Up!'s oval punches. TIP: You can do a "work around" for this by inking up only the text with a marker and popping it out with the Small Oval Punch. It fits perfectly inside the punch. Neat.
The Whisper White card base front measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and 3 copper brads (Stampin' Up! retired) dot the top right corner. TIP: I use a Paper Piercer and Template for to align brads.
Hugs, Pretties and More Mini Sneak Peeks to come . . . . Mary
