These "love" beads are a groovy way to add a little extra heart to your card creations. They are the perfect touch to outline any shape including hearts, squares, stars, circles. Or how about just a few accents that you would normally reserve for a brad, eyelet or rhinestone?
Three strips of differing Berry Bliss Designer papers were cut and scalloped using a Corner Rounder Punch (here's how). I then attached them to Purely Pomegranate card stock and a Close to Cocoa card base.
Some quick punches add flower accents in the top corners. A 5 Petal Punch in Purely Pomegranate is topped with a dimensional, a Close to Cocoa Small Star and a Pretty in Pink Three for You Flower. A deep pink rhinestone gives the blossom a little jazz.
The main image is one of the three bold sentiments from the Big on Spring stamp set. It's inked in Close to Cocoa and stamped on Whisper White. I then colored the "l" and "e" with a Pretty in Pink marker. I inked and stamped the heart section of the sentiment on another patterned paper from the Berry Bliss collection and cut it out to fit over the original heart. The beads can be a bit tricky to work with at first. TIP: Start with a dot of glue where you want the bead. Then "stab" the bead with a paper piercer (a big needle should work, too). Put the point of the piercer on the dot of glue and slowly slide the bead off, right onto the glue. Hold for a couple seconds before carefully removing the piercer and leaving the bead behind.
The "Love" layer tops Close to Cocoa card stock and a couple strips of ribbon (Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched and Pretty in Pink Taffeta). The base layer is Purely Pomegranate. Far out.
